Let's talk about inlaws. Well - I can't really too much because I don't have any. But eventually some day they may become in-laws.
What is up with giving my child things I tell them not to?! I know this has happened to you before, don't lie.
Everyone does it- even my family, but they respect me a little more to not do it as much.
When I say I want my child to eat certain things, that doesn't mean give her something else! & if you introduce something to her by gosh TELL ME! That way I know if she is having an allergic reaction or if she isn't pooping for some odd reason- that may be the odd reason.
It's my turn to be a parent, you had yours so let me do the parenting and you can do the babysitting.
Wow, that came off really rude. I didn't mean it like thaatttt - well maybe I did.
So buck up and tell them all this. Oh yea that'd turn out right know what they would say? my kids turned out fine. Or - we did that with our kids when they were younger. Or - she'll be fine! Or - (when talking about fancy healthy foods) we didn't have those growing up and we turned out fine.
Well let me tell you something!
There is a reason why people keep living longer! There is a reason why the death expectancy age goes up and up and up and up. & I firmly believe it's because of research - wow! you mean smoking this tobacco could really make you die sooner? "Back in the day" they thought there was nothing wrong with it- until smart people did research and found out the answers.
Well - smart people are doing research on what foods are good/bad for your baby and how to help them reach their full potential.
So therefore, there is a reason smart people get paid the big bucks to research and publish these things. I read them and I believe them and it's my daughter and that's that.
By all means I don't want to keep her away from the in-laws. I don't want them not to be around her or watch her - I just want them to respect my rules with my child. I'm sure they wouldn't have liked it if I was trying to feed their first born a mushroom at three months.
cheers.
